Default Ebay Intake Question

Im looking for a new intake and im figuring out that they are all pretty much the same, just a new cone filter, tube and air hat. i was going to try to make one my self but came across this one on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-...item414c436e85

The problem is that I have a 2002 5.9 1500 and this one says its for a 1999 5.9 2500. I just want to make sure this will work on my truck before I spend he money on it. Can anyone verify that the hoses and hookups will al still work properly? Thanks.

*IMO* you can get the same gains and looks from a DIY intake for $50 bucks less... i would look into that also before you buy an intake

I have come up with its stupid without a new air hat, which is ~$40. And this kit has a heat shield. Do you have a 5.9L? Can you take a pic of yours?

The 4.7s are alot different than the 5.9s in terms of throttle body placement, I wish mine were that easy. But the only thing im concerned about is any hose/electrical hookups that are hooked up to the stock intake. I just want to be sure that they are all there.

the only censor i had was the air temp censor. all i did was drill a hole in the PVC right where it was on the factory hose and plugged it in...

Yeah i just looked at mine and the only thing i saw connected to it was a hose that went to the valve cover. I think it will work because there is a hose connector shown on the new intake pipe. I think im going to give it a try.
