Condensation under the oil cap is common on these trucks because the crankcase air is routed through the oil fill tube. The air has moisture and the moisture condenses out of the air on the bottom of the cap because the cap is cold. This is a very common occurance in the winter, regardless of miles driven per day.

This is why I do not have a fitting, I made it myself. Thanks for the input. So you guys think its ok how it is or should I tap a fitting into the CAI?

drill a hole and use a rubber grommet or silicon.

If I tap into the CAI like you said and connect it to the filler, will it suck that moisture/water into the intake? Should I do that without a catch can? Could I "T" into the line and use a small piece of hose and my small filter hanging down as a "catch can" type of device?

It will work like most other CAI and the OEM system and yes it will provide a vacuum to suck the moisture down in the intake. Can you add a T with your small filter? No, you cannot. Ever tried to suck soda up with a hole in the straw? It wont work and neither will that idea you have. It will only cause you to loose vacuum.

Leave it as it is and deal with it or correct it as it should be or add a catch can. Thats all you got man.

Thanks dude, that makes sense. I think I might just leave it. I think with the CAI it would create way mor vacuum than with the stock intake. I don't want water/moisture going into my intake. I want cool DRY air. I will just wipe it out in the winter I guess. Thanks again for the ideas/info!

I cannot see that the moisture added by the vent tube is going to add much more moisture than what is already in the air. But if you really think you want to separate it maybe using an inline air water separator used in air compressor lines could be used.
