I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I have seen them before. I tow all the time in hot and cold weather, and I have never seen my truck get warm. Not once. And I always run on the low side. All the high side does is dim the lights and sound like a vacumn

Hey fellas I think I'm gonna give this a shot. My concern is I live in the desert (it gets hot). What would be the best set-up for my? Sorry to hijack...

You should still be good with a e-fan. I would also use a 180 t-stat as well. I would still use the Taurus fan and try it on low. If thats not enough then switch it to the high speed.

Hey wyseguy77, Not really a hijack since I really was just making a statement so others would know about the option of the digital controller. No questions involved.
So in short no problem.

I did this mod about 2 months ago. Like I said I did it more for looks and clearing space in the engine bay. However, I noticed a gain in power, nothing really in mileage though. Weed is right about the low side of the taurus fan pulling more than the stock clutch fan. The hi-side pulls around 70 amps. You should be alright as long as you are alright with the stock clutch fan. The hardest part of this mod for me was whipping up the brackets so that I felt comfortable with how it was mounted. The rest is pretty much cake.

Unlike alot of other people, I removed the stock shroud altogether and purchased couple of billet bottles to replace the stock overflow and washer container. However, Alot of folks mount the shroud over the fan, which also works.

If you look around there are all kinds of write-ups which will give just as many different wiring diagrams and fabbed mounting methods.
