Default quick tire question

i am pretty sure i already know the answer to this question but im not sure and the tires i buy are gonna be on my truck for the next few years so im trying to make sure i make the right choice. heres the deal. im looking at the firestone destination A/T. tire rack has two different versions of this tire. one regular one and one that has a E load rating. i know that the E rating is a much stronger tire but my issue is that i dont know if i should spend the extra money. i mean the only hauling i do is help a friend move some furniture every now and then. and the only towing i do is pulling a 18 foot cobia monte carlo a few miles to the river and back. i dont think i will need the higher load rating. what do yall think?

I really don't think with the little bit of towing/hauling that will make much of a difference to you. I'm sure you were doing all the towing and stuff on a regular tire anyways. I wouldn't worry about the E rated tire IMO.

Ok, if you're getting a level kit and larger tires. Try looking at the 295/70/17 instead of the 285's. You're gonna think the 285's look small in the wheel well. Just something to think about. That's what I'm running and I still have room to go up a size or two. Mine's a little over a 33 and you're looking at a tire in the 32 range. Maybe a 305/70/17????

see i was thinking about that after i saw somebody else post a thread where they bought 265/70/17 nittos terra grapplers and they looked to small. but apparently firestone doesnt make the destination in a 295 or a 305. and i am starting to reconsider my tire choice anyway due to the fact that i am going to a meet and greet for the NC dodge club on here and its at a national forest with some pretty narly trails. and from what i understand the destinations dont do very well in mud. i may just go ahead and bite the bullet and spring for a set of Nitto terra grapplers in 295/70/17. i would love the 305s if they would fit but i dont think there is quite enough room in the budget.
