Default harmonic/ underdrive pulley replace

has anyone put an aftermarket harmonic or underdrive pulley on and seen any results or worth getting for an 03 dodge ram hemi

there are a TON of threads about this over on DT.

i'll sum them up: yes, its a good mod, but not if you have an efan or aftermarket stereo, because it causes the amps to drop in the alternator (by running slower). that can be reversed by adding an inexpensive overdrive pulley on the alternator. amps stay normal, and you get the added hp of the crank UD pulley. win/win

I was thinking more aftermarket damper than I was UD pulley.

good deal..i know it doesnt actually give horsepower itself but do you know about how much it helps?

its imperative that you get an underdrive pulley WITH a harmonic dampener. otherwise the UD pulley can and will destroy your engine due to vibrations at higher rpms

It frees up supposedly 8-15 hp, but most people's butt dynos say its much more felt than the e-fan

ahh ok..so along with getting the UD and the harmonic dampener get the overdrive pulley for the amps?
