Subs in Reg Cab
I'm debating on what i should put in my reg cab dodge.. I am making a custom box and I just got 2 10inch kicker L5's from a buddy today... I need some help on choosing weather i wanna stick with the 10's and possibly get another one or two more 10' L5... Or go with 12 inch L5's or L7's possible 2 or 3.... or mix n match 2 10's and one 12 L5\

I have 2 12's in mine and its loud enough for me and doesn't rattle the truck any. I hate driving by people that have to much bass in their car/truck and it sounds like every bolt and window on it is rattling loose.
I would do 4 10" L5 and run two amps, you need to get your subs with dual 2ohm voice coils so wiring two subs to one amp at 2ohms to get the most power. in my opinion, 10's sound the best, they hit pretty low but can keep up with all the musical bass. If you want it sounding very good and very loud, go with 4 jl 8w7 8" subs.
check out my setup its in a quad but you can get an idea of making a box.

and about rattling, i would rip the whole interior out and sound deaden the whole truck. I used fat mat which is way cheep. $130 for 100 sq. ft. It smells like tar but only about a week. also take all your interior parts and make them rattle proof by adding foam or silicone, anything to stop the rattle.

Alpine just made a slim version of one of their subs but I forgot the name
. My friend has the reg. version of those subs and they are loud as hell I will be looking into them. I know they are not out on the market yet but they will be soon. I think they are Type-R's. They will fit very nicely in a RC.
