Default Need to pick new tires

Hoping someone can comment on this for me.
I have a 2007 Ram Laramie 1500 quad cab 4x4, black with original 20" wheels. My Goodyears are about shot so I need to get into something new.
The stock wheel/tire combo (P275/60R20) sucks when you need to park close to a curb; the wheels are exposed and easily get scratched.
Was considering a lift kit with aggressive tires and perhaps 18" wheels.
Since I don't offroad much, I think I'll skip the lift and keep my 20's and just put meatier tires on. Am now considering Nitto Terra Grappler 305/50R20's. I'm sure I'll like the wider tire, but it will be ever so slightly lower profile. Not sure this will be visually appealing...would like to avoid the ghetto look - it's a truck for cryin' out loud.
What's the tallest tire I can go on this truck without requiring other mods?
Lemme know what you think. (image attached)
Thanks!

look into the cooper zeon ltz's. had them on before my lift and they were awesome! the come in the stock size and i think one size bigger that will still fit without any problems.

*by the way welcom to the board and nice truck! you should level the front out and maybe paint your wheels black. it would look badass!!!

I agree with JK360. Go with the Cooper Zeon LTZ's, you'll love them. I just picked up a set from www.treadepot.com at a great price. They are a meatier tire but at the same time ride smooth and quiet. As far as the biggest tire you can fit I am not sure but I believe some are running 305/55/20 maybe with slight rubbing but nothing big. Don't take me up on that for sure though, do your research.

either tire the nitto or the cooper will work well, and the 305x50x20 or the 305x55x20 will work. the 55 is same height as stock but about 12" wide the 50 is a bit shorter and same width but ALOT less money! the 55 is a LT tire with heavier load rating.

Look at treadepot or tirerack and compare prices and sizes!

you sure the 55 is stock size, im pretty sure its a little bigger, ive got em on 20s waiting to be mounted in spring.

and nitto terra grapplers all the way, i love the tire, barely wears down, great traction in rain, snow and mud, quiet on the highway

275/60/20 is the stock size but the Cooper 55's are about the same due to the tread depth I believe. I hear the Coopers also have a long life span and I think they are a little bit cheaper than Terra Grapplers. Either tire is a great pick IMO but for less money you can get the same quality with Cooper. I love my Cooper Zeon's and couldn't be happier!

I did not say that 55 was the stock SIZE, I said it was the same height as stock. they are both 33" tall! the stock tire(275x60x20) is equivalent to a 33x11x20.
the 305x55x20 is 33x12.50x20.
the 305x50x20 is 32x12.50x20
