Default DLRs

Was just wondering if there was a way to disable the DLRs without interfering with anything else?

DRL = daytime running lights. the older truck have a fuse for DRL. Dont think the newer trucks have that fuse... its controlled from the PCM. take it to the dealer and they'll hook up the starscan to it. should only be like $20 unless the tech is having a good day, then it might be free

I was aware of what DRL's are but wasn't sure what DLR's were. Making sure he wasn't asking about something else.

Some one would have to use the starscan to change your vehicle settings to a U.S. truck instead of Canadian

it is illegal in canada to drive without DRL just to let you know (if the vehicle has Canadian registration and is newer than 1990 or something like that), you will get pulled over quite a bit because it is a newer looking truck!!! FYI

Haha here in Alberta MANY people drive without DLR's. I had HIDs in my old 96 jetta and did not want them on and off in the city so all i did there was just jumper-ed some wires in the headlight switch which turned them off. I was pulled over for speeding and they said nothing.

Heck the cops here sometimes drive without DLR's. Makes them able to stay hidden in the dark a little? I have no idea. However many of us here drive without them. I am not worried about that

Well I guess I am going to a dealer here in the near future then :P
