Default exhaust ? im confused!

i was all set to buy the at3030 then googled it and saw a site with a video about it.this video says the at3030 cancels noise but i was told it would be loud on my 4.7. next i was told to get a fm 40 series but then was told the 40 series was to small and couldnt handle a v8 unless i ran 2 mufflers. now im being told to get a fm super 40 which is made to handle a v8 single. ive had fm before on my expedition and loved it but i also like the fact that the at3030 is stainless and will last.someone please tell me what i should do? my plan is to replace the stock muffler and tail pipe with a new ones.i was a single in/out. so is the at3030 not loud? is a fm super 40 series loud? im confused. ive gone on youtube and watched videos and they all sound good.help!

If you are anything like me, the more you read up on stuff the more confused you will get.

Default I know what you mean

I read up on mufflers for 3 months before I bought one. I ended up getting the aero turbine 3030. I installed it myself leaving the tailpipe resonator on as well as the one behind the y pipe. I wanted to get a magnaflow or gibson but didn't have the money at the time for 100 bucks I had to try it. It sounds good no drone in the cab and throaty oustside. I want to reroute the tailpipe and remove the resonator to make it louder. For the price you got to get installed I would go for it less hassle. Good luck you will be happy as soon as you turn the key and hear it start up.

Go with a Flowmaster original 40-series, or a Super 44. Both sound good and handle a V8 just fine. Mine have always been 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlet. The muffler shop wanting 120 for a FM 40 is a ripoff, since they're like 60-70 bucks.

He doesn't need to make you a new one. Here's what you can order and just have him spend 20 minutes putting it on.

If you like the fm 40, go for it. Buy it, get some extra pipe and bolt it on. Do a turn down and done.

Go with the at3030, its going to flow much better than the blowmaster, if its to loud stick a resonator on it.
