good, thats what i wanted to hear lol so did you get them done professionally? if so, how much did it cost?

you can paint them yourself or powder coat them black.

for painting you want to sand down the chrome to a brushed aluminum look and then spray self etching primer and then black paint...

I did them myself so it didn't cost anything more than the cost of the paint. To do it I took the steps off, removed all of the plastic pieces, cleaned the steps up real good, sanded them down with the R.O. sander and some 320 grit paper, cleaned them again, sanded with 600, cleaned them a second time, then used a good primer and paint. Finished with a couple coats of clear.

and if i paint them myself they should stay looking good for a while right?

yea you should be fine if you take your time and do it right. ive painted a few things on my truck and they have been fine

If you prep them well and take your time in between coats they should come out looking real nice.

Its cool, you don't have to paint them. Just go with chrome.

Haha, idk, i think the black would look better on light silver then chrome would. Its not an easy decision though...
