I like black a lot but if it is done right chrome looks amazing as well. In the end I would go black.

I know, I'm just bustin cookies. Pay back time for all the times I listen to how I should take all the "chrome" off my truck.

I've done the black powder coat thing on all my mods with my 2nd Gen (plenty of pics of it around here) and really hated the way the paint scratched and chipped and the chit underneath rusted. Bad choice for people who work with their trucks, off-road and hunt/fish a lot.

To me, black powder coat is for when you can't afford to do stainless...

I am not a fan of chrome but it would probably look good on your truck.

I'm personally gonna eventually go black, eventually. Just like chrome though, there is a such thing as too much. Little things like darker heads and tails (tinted or aftermarket), and I might even paint the emblems, just for a free mod.

Either way looks good on our rides, can't go wrong as long as you don't go "too much"

I used to have a silver 03' Ram and I had chrome wheels, stainless nerf bars, and the chrome bumpers with some minor accents like the chrome handle cover. I think chrome would be the way to go on your truck personally. Black looks good but you have chrome bumpers and stuff so it would look like you are trying to go both ways on your truck. Just dont over due the chrome with crap like chrome on the door pillars, chrome mirror covers, etc. I kept all my chrome below the door handles and it went nice, again just not too much. I started to get that way and had to take some things off.

I know everyone is doing black now and calling it the new chrome. It does look great I admit. BUT... it is getting played out IMO. No offense to anyone thats just my personal opinion. Some trucks just don't work with black and some should only have black! Use your imagination and do something completey different thats says "this is MY truck" I like everyones truck on here though!!!
