Default Your Opinion on MDS Exhaust options

I've recently (in the last 7 months) upgraded from my 98 Ram 1500 QC 4x4 5.9L to my 06 1500 QC Hemi 4x4. Like, you probably already know my 06 has MDS on it. My question lies within the exhaust options. My 98 was straight piped from the cat back and (although a little loud at times when I was trying to be quiet lol) it sounded great. My buddy's got an 05 straight piped from the cat back and his sounds great too. Maybe not as good as my 98 but still good. When I bought my 06, I had the exhaust straight piped from the very forward-most resonator (closest to the engine) on back. Its not a bad sound by any means. The truck idles almost as quiet as stock (i would assume because the resonator i left attached is creating backpressure) but when I get on the peddle a little, its louder and sounds better. Eventually, i might try cut-outs since i like the fact that my truck is quiet at idle (sometimes) but i wish it was louder runnin' through the gears.

Any experiences or advise on some other exhaust in the meantime? Would moving my remaining resonator closer to the tailpipe create a little more engine noise at idle? Preferences on other muffler/exhaust set-ups? My main concern is how the truck will sound under different exhaust options once the MDS kicks in. The MDS is kinda weird and taking some getting used to but I don't want to disable it. It doesn't sound too bad right now but I don't think I want to bring anymore attention to it via exhaust.

I've rambled on enough. Any suggestions (or even video's/sound clips) would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

well not wanting to get off topic what is MDS or MSD (dont remember). i have a flowmaster with the resonators and cat dumped and its sounds good and is pretty loud. My friend has a hemi and the person before him put a magnaflow on it which i havent heard the greatest about as far as loudness but his is extremely loud with a great tone. it isnt so loud at idle though

Basically anything much louder than stock is going to sound a bit funky when the MDS kicks in. Sounds like a Jake Brake that semi's use.
Look at the Magnaflow 16700 at www.performancepeddler.com I have one on my 08. I have run it with the MDS on. On the highway it's fine. Around town, it's noticeable but not overly ugly sounding. I have my MDS turned off on mine.
Here is mine when I first installed it. It is quieter when it idles down. It was cold when I started it here. Nice tone while accelerating, but not loud while cruising. You can talk normal and hear the radio at low levels.
