I don't use any. Today's oils are good enough that you shouldn't need any additives unless it is sludged up from poor maintenance.

T-Plus was always useful to get a dying engine a few more miles...

I'm a big believer in the Power Service brand of products for the diesel boys..Ran a few 3716's and c15s over 1mil using those once a week..

Quality oils come with all of the necessary additives already in them. Stick with a name brand synthetic and you're golden.

I'd stay away from most of those oil additives. I have used the Lucas oil stabilizer and it does work well.
As far as the others go, Slick 50 is KNOWN for causing sludge build-up in the small oil galleys, corners, pick-up tube..etc that severely restrict flow. Now, it may not happen overnight, but it does and will happen. Most of theose additives are simply super thick honey type oil that get even thicker the longer you drive.
i did try the Synthetic Lucas stabilizer to see if it would aid in my "Hemi" tick and it did help, but that stuff is specifically formulated for lighter weight oils and is not super thick nor does it become super thick.

As far a the engine cleaners. i stay away from ANYTHING that is advertised for cleaning your engine, whether it's a flush or an additive.
What do i do then??? I use Marvel Mystery oil. Substitute 1qt of Mystery oil in with your oil change and drive for 1500miles and then dump. Repeat if necessary(oil still dirty). After 2 times, your oil should be very clean and so will the inside of your engine.
I don't like the engine cleaners per say because they are very harsh on the seals as well as the journal/bearing mating surfaces which can cause scoring on the bearings if not lubed properly.
Marvel Mystery oil is a lubricant as well as a detergent cleaner(very similar to ATF)

After you clean the inside, regular oil changes will keep your inside clean. if it's gunking up, then you need to do oil changes more frequently.

i like to get my oil from AdvanceAuto when they are having their usual sales on oil change specials. usually $15.99 for 5qts and a filter for Conventional and $29.99 5qts & Filter for Mobil 1 Synthetic or Valv./ Synthetic. i buy up 2 or 3 oil changes worth when they have those sales.

And feejay, can't stop laughing, literally, out loud!

So dirty, which do you prefer, Mobil for Valvoline? For a 50k 4-7 and a 70k 5-7? I like those specials myself

Since I'm "stupid," I'll answer- I prefer M1, but if $$ were a factor I would choose which ever name brand synthetic is on sale.
