Default Broken Valve

Has anyone else here had a valve bend/break/stick on their Hemi engine? I've been battling with my truck all week, and we've finally discovered that I have an intake valve not sealing up at all. I've heard said that the Hemi's have had problems with breaking springs/various other problems like this. If anyone else has had this, let me know if it has happened and what all was wrong. Thanks.

yep, broken springs seem to be fairly common with the '03s. Ain't heard of anyone with an '04 up have one, except for one guy I know with an '04 who did a Comp 260 Cam with the stock springs...

My valve spring is just fine, that didn't break. It's my actual valve. I wish it was just a spring though, that would be much easier to replace.

Ive never seen a valve bend or break without something else failing first and then causing the valve to bend or break

No, just the Hemi really needs 89 octane per the owners manual.

Sounds like you need to give a call to www.inertiamotorsports.com and get a nice set of their heads!!

I run 91 in my truck, with the Tow tune, and I know to never put 87 in my truck.
I have no 100% assurance that my valve is bent, but it definitely is not sealing, and causing a leak. The spring isn't broken, but it does have some give in it.
