Same reason I ran the quarter in my truck -- because it's there! I've taken every vehicle I've owned to the track at some point just for the hell of it. The nearest 1/4 track is 2+ hours away but I always manage to hit the 1/8th because it's nearby.

When I took my old 93 Grand Marquis (bone stock) to the 1/8th mile they accused me of spraying because it ran 10.20s. Took my 01 Grand Marquis (intake and programmer) and it really shocked 'em with 9.90s without a LSD like the 93 had. Those were just my daily drivers; my Dodge Stealth "weekend car" ran 7.80s in the 1/8th and 12.50s in the quarter with a only few bolt-ons. My current Subaru family sedan (not a WRX) ran 13s stock and will see mid 11s this year. After all, everybody needs a money pit on wheels!

BTW, my truck runs 15.9 @ 86 with the programmer. I don't doubt the 5.9's torque either -- I've always said my 92 GMC (extd cab, 4x4, 5.7 tbi) was much faster 0-30 than my Hemi. All the mods I did to it (similar to yours) added even more torque without much change up top.

Yeah, maybe I will-- but I worry that I'll break something in the rear if I'm on a drag strip in my dodge. It only has the chrysler 9.25 in it. If I had 4:56's with the lsd, then that's a lot of torque going to the ground instantly. It's no D60. Lol.

Rydesolow,
You are showing great numbers.
No disrespect intended but I ain't buying it with the lift, gears and tires you are running.
