Okay, curious about the hemis offered in the 1500's.

First, when was MDS introduced?
Is there anyway to tell if a truck has MDS capability, some sort of code, vind digit, number?
Did they offer the MDS Hemi with manual transmissions?

MDS introduced in the 2006 model

 

 

All 2006 and up Rams with a Hemi have MDS and no they did not offer any year Hemi Ram with a manual trans.

 

+1. The only manuals offered, IIRC, were V6s maybe (if that), unless you go to the 2500s.

 

I thought the 4.7's came with a manual if you wanted it?

 

Yep, just found a guy here that has one. My apologies... some 4.7 V8s could get it as well.

 

Maybe so but then that wouldnt be a HEMI with MDS would it......

No, the manual 2500 did not include MDS. In fact, MDS is only available in 2006+ 1500s.
