Default Knock/Thump sound- Not The Engine

I have an '05 QC hemi with about 65000 miles on it. Lately ive noticed that if i take a turn or go over a bump while turning i hear a knock/thump sound coming from the front wheel area. Its hard to say exactly where its coming from but i know its not the engine...

Does anyone have any ideas about what this could be? Or at least tell me where i should start checking?

I just bought this truck a few weeks ago, i hope its nothing major

I would start by looking at your upper and lower ball joints. Then move to the tie rod ends and check them out too. I'm assuming you have a 2wd?

If it doesn't make the noise when you're driving straight and hitting a bump I would imaging I would start looking at the tie rod ends, then think about the ball joints.

Sounds like you are talking ball joints. Lift the wheel off the ground a few inches and use a bar under the tire to see if you can move anything.
