Mine's due for another Seafoam treatment. You had it a year and didn't read the manual? Shame, shame.

Yea I know shame on me for not reading the manual but better late than never. lol

Its not like I rag the truck. Truck hit 39k miles on way home with it when I got it and just hit 51k the other day. Its been in 4WD maybe 5 times and never hit the mud. Has burnt a little rubber though lol.

What about this ZMAx stuff? Is Seafoam better than it

i have to agree with hammer. I dont know about using sea foam in trucks but I have a 2009 scag mower and duirng the summer it would bog hard when I would engage the blades. I figured it had water in the fuel from sitting outside and from the fuel sitting in the gas cans. So i dumped a full can of sea foam in the gas tank and in a week it ran beautifully. it dries up the water in the fuel really well.

Thanks,

Well Seafoam is out but what about Z-Max or Lucas?

Now that I think of it the other day my truck didn't want to start up on the first turn over. Could that be from not running the right octane fuel?

I run Seafoam in almost everything I own. I run it on all my motorcycles, my boat, my car, my truck. Its just fine to run it in the truck, but I don't like the idea of adding it to the oil. If you do, run it to get it hot, then drain/change the oil/filter. I have a feeling it breaks down oil if its breaking down carbon and deposits, and I don't like the idea of broken down oil lubricating my engine.

Well Ill soon be changing my oil so if I did decide to go Seafoam I would be changing the oil soon anyway. So now would be a good time to do it. Don't think I will use seafoam though

Seafoam or a good injector cleaner in the gas, run a good brand of oil, and call it a day.

I'm leaning towards just putting Lucas injector cleaner in it and changing my oil as you say. Mite switch over to synthetic oil too.

Thanks for the help!

Lucas is good stuff too. I've used it many a times. Also, the Lucas Automatic transmission treatment works wonders, ESPECIALLY in Subaru autos.

You're on the right track man.
