Default Best additave to clean engine?

I have a 05 Ram I've had it almost a year now and I just learned I'm spouse to run a higher octane fuel than I have been since it has a Hemi. I'm gonna start running the right fuel but was wanting to clean it out good just to be on the safe side.

I have some Lucas oil injector cleaner but would that be the best for it? I'm trying to keep the truck in the best shape I can.

Thanks

Seafoam works good. I believe it is petroleum based and is sold at an auto store like pep boys or autozone. Google it up. If you have <50000 miles I would just use the higher octane. Using a lower octane just makes the explosion in the cylinders less. Everything else does not really care that the octane was less. Just run the higher octane because the Hemi's run better with more explosive cylinders.

just my 2c

Just run some gumout regane or redline sl-1 through the gas and keep your oil changed regularly. Oil now has a lot of additives to clean up deposits, some are specifically designed to clean better like Mobil 1 high mileage or pennzoil platinum.

I was thinking of going to synthetic oil. I heard its better for high compression and soon ill be adding mods.

I think im try the seafoam it looks like it works good and I know the truck probly has never been cleaned out

Never thought you could do something to well. So what would be the best thing then?
