Default Help with level kit/Coil Spring Spacers

Hey, so i just bought 2" coil spring spacers..leveling kit. I read on the internet that i need to rent some tool to release the pressure from the APS Valve ( Air Pressure Sensor Valve ). Im just wondering if this is 100 percent true, and if so, is there any way that i can work around this with-out renting the tool to release the pressure ? I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD.

I did my 2wd and I don't have an air pressure sensor valve anywhere near the suspension. Where is this located on your truck? I haven't heard of this before.

Is this for your tires? To tell you when your air pressure is low?

Well actually my friend looked up on the net about installing the level kit for my truck and i guess he came across something to do with a air pressure sensor valve on the shock or something ??

I highly doubt you have air shocks on your truck unless you've put them on.

I'm not sure. I bought the truck a couple months ago. When i bought it, it already had cold air-intake and exhaust system on it...so it might ?

I don't think you had a factory option on the truck for air shocks. Look at the shock and see if there's an airline coming off of it. There should be a line where you can add or remove air, kinda like the valve on a tire. Unless you have an on board air compressor?
