Keep us informed, as I am interested in the same and almost put up a post similar to yours. Is the MPG increase real? I don't know much tuners, but that kind of increase the unit would pay for itself quickly.

So got the unit installed over the weekend and have run it for a couple days, so far i am impressed. I ran a new fuse block under the dash from my trucks fuse box so any futures mods I would not have to run again and again to the front.

Took me a while to install the new settings, between turning the truck of and the key off and actually programming it it took me a little while. It tells you when to turn the key to off and on, and when to start the truck. Well it did not tell me to turn it off and it froze so i had to re-do everything.

Performance I really have not had to much time to play with it as the roads are kinda slick after the snowfall (rolled one truck 2 months ago, dont want to do another :P) But so far so good, it idles better and shifts better. I have not had a chance to open her right up..

As for gas mileage im definitely not getting the 5 mpg that it says. I have MDS in my truck and if its not engaging then its doing really good. Im getting 17-19 highway, dont know for city. I dont know which gauge to go by either, the tuner or the factory. But the factory says 17-19. SO if MDS is not engaging then its good. If its not then im not impressed. I will install an MDS light soon.

Im going to search for some updates and see if anything changes

So I thought I was getting 17-19 Highway....

Turns out I am getting like 14! Its horrible! I'm playing with WOT shift points at the moment and I cannot get it! I'm going to return the truck back to stock just to make sure I was getting higher mileage before the tune...

If it gets better when at stock settings what could be the problem? I have tried premium gas and tune and 87 octane and regular tune. High shift points, low shift points, nothing seems to want to work.

Do you think that maybe I need to do a tune before seeing economy gains? Better sparks plugs? I know they are still the stock ones...my truck has just over 500000kms on it. Or maybe an intake? I know thats in the future, but would that help? If its a case then i will do it asap! (Suggested options are appreciated!) I thought of even a Cold Air intake, will i see gains with it?

Let me know what you guys think!
