This blows more than the red-light district.

yea, def talked me out of it. I'm sure the kits a great, but these god forsaken transmissions can only do so much.

Feel bad for you though, that's a costly fix and you just put all that work into it. At least you have a reason not to throw another stock transmission in.

Keep us updated though and hope it all works out for ya

Look into parts of the shift kit install. I have heard that there is a ring somewhere in it that if it is not put in right it can basically do what you are describing.

Personally when I get to mine I have ditched the Idea of doing a transgo kit and instead want to go with a sharadon stage two valvebody.

I hoope you canget it all worked out and fixed.
myself, and the trans shop both checked all the shift kit components. they are all still rock solid and in their places.

the sharadon valve body is definitely a great idea!

if i can keep my wife thinking that a rebuilt trans is gonna cost about 2 grand, we will see where that takes me.

Yeah, I ain't about to make an assumption and say it was the installation of the TC or the shift kit, but the fact that so soon after the install your tranny blew up raises a red flag. I would bet the ranch that if you had not done a thing to the tranny it would still be working fine.
Probably was a situation where the new components pused a ? transmission over the edge, but I don't think you'll ever know.

Side note, as someone who was a catcher for about a dozen years including a couple stints in the lowly minors, you got you a busted finger. I've broken every one of mine at one time or another, and my right wrist twice and left wrist once. Only parts I've never broken were either of my thumbs...
