Thumbs up Changed my plugs today!!

Changed out my plugs, I think the first time the truck has ever got new plugs! They weren't bad looking tho, put some fresh champ's in and what a difference. Put anti sez and eletric stuff lol forgot the name. But while I was takeing off the intake pipe I found one of tho's Tornato's in there. I haven't done nothing to the truck since I bought it till now. I was surprised to see that, so next project building a CAI and puting the tornato in it and cleaning the TB. Thought id share my find. O yeah and the back plugs werent bad its the second ones from the back that were tight.

Nice man, when my wires get here next week from Moes I'll be changing my plugs out as well. Don't have a garage (clean garage anyways) to work in so I'm waiting to see if it stops raining this month at all so I can work on it lol. How long did it take you? Heard a lot of people state 4 hours and that seems like a long time but, eh maybe thats what it takes.

i have done many sets, it takes me about 34-45 minutes, most folks with less experience will spend about 2 hours doing them. make sure you have a 3 and 6 inch extension and a swivel spark plug socket. other than that, all it takes is a 10mm wrench or socket for the coils

I did mine out side it was like 34 out it wasnt bad. It took me 3 hours take the hemi hate off and the hole intake box out to give your self room. Do the passengers side first its the easyest the on the drivers side do the back plugs first and work ur way forward. I had no problems. good luck. Im going to order the shorty wiers soon to. Does anyone 1 know why my plug wiers say 2003 on them but my truck is a 2004?

Truck and it's parts were probably assembled in 2003. Just like when they sell 2010 vehicles last year...that kinda thing.

what is the number on the champion plugs .... the guy at autozone told me that champion dont make copper plugs for the hemi and that it needs the platinum plug and the platinum plugs would get more then a 100,000 mile out of them

for stockers, the stock number is 570. The plug number is RE14MCC4, and the gap is .045. NGK stock number 5306 is what most folks go with, Moes has them for 45.99$ a set of 16

+1 thats exactly what I just got for mine form shucks. Need 16 plugs, don't forget that part. That auto parts guy needs a new career, sheesh.

meangreen, you needa change those things pronto before you start having misfire issues and f' up your engine. For the 4.7 I think you need Copper Plus 439 #RC12MCC4 .040 gap. And you only need 8.

The champs generally go for less than $2 a plug and they work great in our engines
