Default Looking at 2 Rams...

I have been looking for a 3rd gen ram so that i can park my other vehicle during the winter (02 transam). I've seen a ton and right now there are two that I'm looking at that I can afford, both are about the same price. Both have the 4.7, 4x4 and 4 doors like I want.

First: white 2005, 108k miles. Test drove this and it felt solid and ran really well, and was extremely clean (even the engine bay looked great). No carpet and the interior was really nice. Also has 6mos/7500 mi powertrain warranty. Link: http://www.walkthelot.com/dealer/mod...HU18N05J594139

Second: red 2002, 67k miles. Haven't seen this one in person yet but it looks nice and has low miles (and I would remove the cap first thing). Link: http://www.classiccarschevrolet.com/...slt-c-1190.htm

Anyone have any opinions on 2002 vs 2005, or any on these two trucks in general?

I would take the red one. The white one is pretty basic, higher miles. The red one is still newer, same engine, lower miles and more options.

Personally, I would go with the '02. Less miles, and you would probably be more comfortable with the cloth seats rather than the vinyl. If I'm not mistaken, the 02 is an SLT and the white one is the ST version. My money's on the '02. Probably a grandpa owned it and drove to church and the store. Just my opinion.

would the 2002 be prone to any additional issues that the 2005 wouldn't be (i.e. tranny issues)? i'm going to try and check it out this week. a buddy of mine works at that dealer as well so hopefully he can try to hook me up.

i do like the 05 because it's newer, but i think i'd rather go a little older but with considerably less mileage. how bad is the vinyl? i didn't really notice it during the test drive so not sure how it would pan out over time. i was originally looking for cloth.

idk, seem too high in price to me. If I was to buy an 05 hemi 4x4 I wouldn't pay more that 12 for it right now. So 14 for a 4.7 is kinda high.
