Your truck should be about buttoned up, right? I can't wait to see that thing all together with all the stuff you got.

I would understand it if you did CAI, headers and muffler, because that would probably make a big enough difference to throw the PCM for a major loop and would take some time time to readjust for the better air flow. Resetting the PCM still will require some driving for the PCM to learn, it's just a shortcut to getting there faster.

But just a muffler? Yeah, it will increase flow a bit, but enough to force the PCM into a major recalibration, I doubt it. I'd get my a$$ underneath and see if the place you had it done had to bend a pipe for fitment or something first...

I agree with Hammer, I didn't lose any mpg's when I installed my complete Magnaflow cat-back system.

No bent pipes. He just toolkit muffler off and welded the new one on with a straight pipe extension. How many tanks do you think it would take to adjust computer? Should I reset computer again? I am noticing a more noticeable sound change when I accelerate like the engine may not be running as smooth. Would a muffler be attributed to this? When I first start up the car and drive you can here the engine slightly revving but nothing is indicative on the rpm indicator

Why do you think I haven't saved up for an exhaust yet? I lost enough mpg's from my CAI cuz it sounds so freakin amazing, with an exhaust I'd get less than 5mpg I'm sure.

Try a CAI, Headers & a Cherry Bomb biotch!!! My around town gas mileage sucks b*lls! Only time I see good gas mileage (comparatively) is on the long interstate trips from Fl to Ga and back when I just hit the cruise control...
