Hey, I have a 2007 1500 RAM 5.7 HEMI and I was looking underneath it today and noticed that after the stock muffler there is another "muffler type" looking thing, it is about the size of a flowmaster... so it comes out of the stock muffler then the pipe goes into this thing and then goes out the back. so my question is does anyone know what this is?.
With the stock muffler, probably not much. The stock exhaust setup is pretty restrictive and quiet. If you'd like a nice free flowing great sounding muffler setup, I'd recommend replacing the factory "Y" pipe (the pipe joining the two cat pipes together into a single exhaust pipe) with a Magnaflow "Y" pipe. Then have your resonator and stock muffler removed and replaced with a CherryBomb muffler. Either dump the exhaust right after the muffler or extend it with a new tailpipe.
Yeah I want a deep sound i've been looking at the Flowmaster 50 delta flow I like the sound of that one. does the set up you are talking about have that cherrybomb pop real bad? or is it pretty deep sounding?.
