Default 05 4.7 cold air intake!

spending next weeks hard earned paycheck to beef up my baby.

two i'm looking at the most are k&n

http://www.4wheelparts.com/K-N-Intak...4555&t_pl=2783

one with HP: 8.63 HP @ 4688 RPM and the other HP: 6.80 HP @ 4743 RPM. gonna go for the 8.63. cheaper too, idk why.

any complaints with these? or does anyone know of any better intakes out there? or is there a better way to waste 330 dollars on performance

I like the K&N CAI. the best, but that's just me. Have one on my HEMI and the
black Ram SRT 10.

I am also looking at getting that same k&n for
my 4.7.

And The difference between the two is that one is the plastic(higher hp gain) and the other is chrome. From what I remeber reading is that the chrome offers less hp gain beacuse it gets hotter and loses some power, unlike plastic.

No way in h*ll I would pay 330 +/- for a CAI because it says K&N on it. You need to do some reading on the board and some searching around on ebay bro. Really.

You can find the exact same thing for much much less. Remember, the more money you save means more mod money for something else.

Go to the club section on here. Look up the 287 club....On the first page or maybe the second Jay has posted up a link for the one he has and it's only 70 dollars or so shipped to your house. You can also click the 287 club link under my picture that will take you there.

I believe that eBay CAI is $80 shipped: $62 + $18 s&h. The one at Car Part Wholesale is about the same price ($80.27).

The thing I like about the Velocity intake is that it appears to be 1 piece. My only question about it is that it say it's for a 2004. When I search on that site for 2005, I don't find it. I assume that the 04 and 05 would be the same right?
