yes it was covered, at first it looks not so much but at last the repair would be over 6500 euros that would be over 8800 USD.....i could kick my *** because it was just my fault and only mine. After all that happens i´m glad that i was alone on the intersection, because i need the whole street for that stunt and the other drivers, waiting at the signals had the show of their life:icon_teet h:

haha they were all thinking, "look at that big stupid truck ruining my drive, if it was a midget piece of plastic like I drive, it would have just crumpled".

Pretty crazy the insurance paid that much to have it fixed. If the truck would have been a couple years older, they almost could have totaled it. $8800 to fix a fender, I think those body shop people milked the insurance guys lol

yepp, that is the reason why we in germany have to pay a lot of insurance rates, but it was not only the fender, it was the bumper, the headlight, the fog light, the fender, the radiator support, the body shop charge over 3000USD only for the paintjob, they are crazy and in the first step they don´t match the right color, i send my truck 3 times back to the body shop until i´m satisfied with the work. And at last, i make the hood/fender alignment by myself, they mount the plastic between the hood and the windshield not correct and the wipers are mounted wrong, too. If you give a american car to a german body shop who doesn´t know much about this cars and trucks you better do the work by yourself

The only good thing is that the insurance rates for a RAM are negotiable because the RAM is not offically sold in germany, that keeps the rates a bit lower!!!

I was backing my trailer down my driveway this summer and i was tired from driving home from upstate and i was watching my trailer in my left mirror and next thing I know I slam into one of the pillars at the top of the driveway. that left me with a real nice dent just below the tail light. still havent gotten it fixed.

Damn Totti, thats crazy the body shop charged that much, and then couldn't even get it right. For the record, it doesn't really make me feel better hearing of other people's misfortunes.

And I will probably do just that OE. Haha, I like your faith in me "So the next time.." I'm still gonna snoop around the junkyards, see what I can come up with. We have one locally that only takes in newer model vehicles, maybe I'll get lucky...

yeah i still have a nice little crease in that the small section of the front fender between the headlight and the wheel well. i clipped my buddies dads 78 f250 as i was watching the boat on the other side of me while backing out of thier driveway!!! luckily i was moving very slow and all i hit was his bumper so it didnt even leave a mark on his truck! lol

Bout two years ago, I was workin on a ranch in the northern part of Kansas. Had this big tank trailer with special feed for the livestock, we had to back it up in front of this guys house. Well we get to talkin and the guy drivin wasn't payin attention and out of nowhere I see something in his mirror and BAM! The trailer had jackknifed big time, (goose neck trailer) it came all the way around and smashed the mirror, destroyed the door, and broke the handle.
