Are you going to add the 3040 tip? It gives it a nice touch. It would probably look really good with your exit point too. As for the AT3030XL, you'll love the low rumble at idle, the strong roar with throttle, and the pop and crackle on deceleration.

Not sure what tips I am going to go with but I did find the areo tips for pretty cheap about $20 or $30....

Would there be a way of using part of the stock pipe and tip ??

Would that be able to be cut off and welded into the outlet of the muffler since it already has a nice bend to it already and I wouldn't need too much since it going to be coming right off the muffler to the side in front of the rear tire?

I was going to have a guy I work with help me cause he has a welder and all the necessary tools do to the work...So you used the extension after the muffler...?? Would it be the same as the cutting the stock one off after the resinator cause I a chrome tip on there now and looks to have the right bend... It will soon be replaced with the aero tip that I found pretty cheap (a lot cheaper than what they sell it for)...

I would clam it over weld it. If you ever decide to sell the truck, or for some reason you don't like it, it will be a while lot easier to change if you clamp it.

when you clamp it....I know this may sound stupid but I know that I need a 3"in/3"out for the muffler and when I cut the old muffler off does the new one just slide right on or is there something else that I need to make it fit?

This is what I would need to put the muffler on myself...??

A pipe adapter that goes from a 3 1/2" to fit into a 3" and clamps, correct me if I am wrong..

Default Don't Cut it

Just unbolt the stock muffler. The stock one is 38.5" long band clamp to band clamp. The AT3030 was 20" long so after the AT3030 I put a 18" long extension to the stock tailpipe and resonator . There are hanger clamps for 2" exhausts that i used I just hammered the top part so that the hole would line up with a 3" U clamp, I did this twice. The whole thing was pretty simple it only took about and hour to remove the old one and install the new one.
