Default 04 HEMI Indicator Light

Just curious if someone can help me out here... I bought a 04 HEMI a little bit ago and a few days after I got it the indicator light came on. Had it checked out and there was a minor fix that needed to be done and also a code 404 for the gas cap. Well I have been driving it for another week and the indicator light just came on again. Any ida why this could be happening? I just filled the tank so I am guessing that it is the Gas leak again. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Did you remove the cap and fill the truck while it was running? If so, you shouldn't do that. If the truck was not running then make sure your gas cap is tight. If it's tight and the CEL comes on then buy a new gas cap and make sure it is tight. Mine did the same thing and a new cap fixed the problem.

I've never had an issue filling it while it was running. Hell, as cold as it's been, I'm not about to shut the damn thing off...

Just because you did not throw a code while fueling up your truck doesn't mean it can't happen. I was just giving the guy some advice on what I have seen. Hopefully he will respond with what he did to fix the problem.

I had it checked out and one code was the evap leak. Got it taken care of with a new gas cap but they ran a diagnostic check on it and found that the #3 cylinder compression dropped to below 90. They said it is probably from a malfunctioning vavle spring. Anyone know how much something like that runs? Also, my truck has 20" chrome rims. Is it possible to change them to 17"? I have the 5 lug pattern.
