Default New Ram Laramie is unreal

Got my new Ram hemi 1500 QC yesterday I waited 10 weeks for it to arrive...all I can say is WOW! Last night some Claud Hopper in a tricked out F-150 decided he was in a hurry and went blasting by only to end up at the next red light next to me. It was great we rolled out to about 25 mph and I nailed it my truck actually broke the tires loose for bit and went on to pounch on that nasty ford. I love this truck!

Nice! I just drove my 05 4x4 Hemi Std cab short bed home tonight. I am being cautious with hitting it for a while, I am assuming there is a break in period??

I have always driven and broke in new cars the way I drive them. I worked in a dealer agency years ago with an old guy who always did a unusual break in with new cars.

He always went out on our old airport road stopped and then put it to the mat running them up to about 70. Then he would let them cost back down to a stop and start all over for a total of 10 times. He said it was the best way to break in the rings and valve sets. He also said you should never drive a new car at a steady speed for a prolonged period of time. So I drive them pretty hard. I'm up to about 250 now and the truck seems to be getting a little louder each day. MPG is right at 13.5 combined at 30 miles a day driving.

I love this truck...

Not recommeded to set the speed steady for more than 10 mintes at a time for the first 500 miles.

i.e. don't go on a extended highway trip accross Nebraska (flat no hills) with the cruise set at one speed.

Vary the speed every now and then or like I do mine (260 miles now) drive it like normally with the exception I tatoo the loud pedal every now and then.[8D]
