question about new CAI

Yeah I have one of those hoods. Its a fiberglass unit made by goodmark. Its called a good hood.

A plastic tube reduces the sound and doesn't get as hot. If you don't like the sound and have the money go with with something like K&N, or you could just make one from pvc pipe from Home Depot. Can't say you'll see performance increase but should be a little less loud.

dont' get me wrong, i'm in love with the sound. it should help increase my gas milage but all the ego it has given me makes me want to floor it everywhere.

but, a friend of mine as a 05 rumblebee hemi with a k&n intake, but is no where near as loud. infact untill he showed me he had one i had no clue he had any mods. but, he also doesn't have exhaust.

I thought he was talking about the shaker hood that has the filter built into the scoop.
