Default The Joys of the 5.9L

Well, I'm pretty sure I've got the infamous plenum failure issue. Heres some pics to show what it causes. Also when I replace it what do you guys recommend, the Hughes replacement one or the Mopar M1 intake Manifold that ditches the plenum all together?

Shilo maybe the pics dont show it very well, but i dont see anything wrong? toss it out in the 5.9 club as well they have lots of good advice.

Theres actually a writeup over in the 2nd gen section but it doesn't have any pics. When I do it I'll be sure to take pics of every step and make a good DIY writeup of it.

I posted the same thing up in the 2nd gen section and first reply I got said yup it's blown so idk.

maybe I dont know what i am looking for? I thought there would be a puddle of oil down there?

My advice on this is even if it isnt blown, it will be at some point, so if you have the time and money, replace it ASAP to reduce headaches.

Hopefully when I do mine I can do a DIY on this. It will be posted in the 2nd gen section.

Even if theres just a thin layer of it down there, I'm pretty sure that means it's blown. Because it should be completely clean lookin down there as far as I know.
