Default Regearing shop near Calgary, AB

In the process of swapping in a rear diff in my 03 1500 and I'll need to at least gear one end. Anyone have a shop they'd recommend near Calgary, AB? I'm just a half hour north of there. Also, what would the price be per end? Money's tight but I should really regear to 4.56 on both ends because of the bigger tires.

Sorry dude but there really isn`t a whole bunch of us Albertans to help you out. Me being from the northern half also does not help. Albertaramfan might be able to guide you in the right direction he is from down there. Alberta Represent.

I bought my gears from those guys. A place that specializes in gears can`t be too wrong.

Try National 4wd off of Blackfoot, National transmission on 14th North of Kensington or give my cousin Doyle @ Fuel Automotive a call.

Hope one of those are a help

National 4wd gave me a quote for $2600! Is there any ways I can cut costs? I need to regear at least one end, I'm swapping in a diff with a 3.92 rear ratio and have a 3.55 front

Holy ****!!! But not really surprising I guess. I paid that to have a new diff, gears (3:91) and posi put into my second gen 5 years ago.

I have a close friend who I'm sure if you want to cut costs would do it for you for a fee. He's a fourth year apprentice and has an impressive resume already including, dodge, bmw and bentley.

That or if you want call Doyle at 403-934-2726. He has a shop that is VERY reputable by chestermere

They Big shops have to pay rent and equip their shop, $ 2600 eh. now I know why I was hesitant to pursue that mod. Gears front and back with master kits from USA (Moes) to your door probably $700 (front only 1/2 the cost) then pay someone with Rep as suggested by Albertaramfan to do the install, my guess is maybe 1 to 1.2 K. but that is only a guess? There was a kikiji add before xmas where a fellow had an 8" front diff with 3.92's for $800 to match your rear. Now The labour time consumer is removal and refit of front components, rear not so bad. No one but me has ever worked on my truck but when I get around to my gear install I will pay for a Pro to do it right for sure. Good Contacts Albertaramfan. Maybe I could drive to Chestemere or Calgary (from Suffield) I may be interested later on this year.

freestyledude goodluck with your fix and let us know how things pan out.

I would definately look into that! I'll be gone this weekend but let me know what kinda price he'd want for that, I found front/rear master install kits and 4.56 gears for $600 so I might be able to afford both ends =D
