Alright, so I finally got everything figured out, the bracket/linkage that is on top of the valve body that the TV cable connects to was completely gone, I don't even have a clue as to why, and the end of my TV cable is also broken, it is a little hardened plastic piece that fits down ontop of this little ball that is at the end of the bracket/linkage that turns the control module that sets the shift points.

So I ordered the bracket and the throttle valve cable from the stealership and they will be in tomorrow morning at about 830. Which by the way, for a little bracket linkage that is maybe 2 inches long and isn't in any way unique it is WAY OVERPRICED! $115 for that, and the throttle Valve Cable is $46. I would have tried to go with a junkyard but I really hoped to get this fixed soon as I am sure it is just eating my transmission alive with those shifts as soft as they are.

I seriously felt like I was driving one of those nissans without the shifts it was so soft between shifts!

I will report back when I have this done, probably tomorrow night as I have class in the morning and it could take a half hour or so to completely route the throttle valve cable as I want to make sure I do it the right way.

Good thing you caught it in time man. Hopefully no (minimal) damage was done.

Yes and no, I dont think it was done intentionally in any way. One of the guys who had the truck before me did some major tranny overhauling on this truck and it is built like a tank... so yes it is kind of annoying that that bracket was gone, but I still am glad to have this transmission setup the way it is and glad it is an easy fix.

So I got the TV cable and bracket/linkage this morning at aboput 8:45, got under my truck at about 10:00 and have it fixed already, the truck runs 100% better! Especially at WOT.

It was a very easy fix, took like 20 minutes total and the hardest part was just figuring out how to get my socket wrench up to the bracket to tighten it down. Besides that the install went very well, and the first spot I picked to set the Throttle cable at worked perfectly to my taste, might still be a touch soft but I will run it a while and see how I like it!

Now with this on I can definitely tell that the pickup has a shift kit in it, and that superchips is just all that much better to me now! I even think the truck is fast now!

My truck already has the plenum fix, although I am going to get one of the edelbrock/hughes intake kits eventually that will completely make that fix obsolete. I will work on getting a video up tonight, it really moves especially with the shift kit, k&n intake, superchips, and ignition done, the next step is throttle body, I will do the intake probably early this summer then I am getting a borla xr-1 dumped exhaust. Those are my near future plans for the engine.

the reason why I'm not throwing too much money into the engine yet is because I am going to be buying 35X12.5 Nittos probably in the next few weeks/early next monthish and then this summer I will be buying the BDS High Clearance 6 inch lift kit with all the little bells and whistles. (Im going to be eating Top Ramen for most the summer lol) Hopefully I will come out of the casino in good shape on my 21'st birthday in May although I doubt it haha. I'm a bit of a cardshark, blackjack is my drug lol.
