Default 01 to 03 stereo swap

Hey everyone newbie here, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if a stock stereo from an 01 or 02 would work in my 03. Thanks

The stereo in the 01 is a little better than the 03. It's not a daily driver either, it sits quite a bit so i don't think i need aftermarket. But the upgraded 01 would be a little better.

The face plates are totally diff. the '01 sits behind the molding and is square. The 03 is rounded and sits flush with the molding. It would take some serious modification to the molding. You'ld be farther ahead to buy an aftermarket head and an install kit for like $20 at wally world.

Just get one of the better 02-05 head units if you're looking to stay stock, there's a decent range of different ones and they don't cost all that much anymore with all the newer stuff out there.
