Default Muddy HEMI Suggestions??

Hey all last weekend i was goin down a dirt rd at night and i saw a puddle of mud i figured it was small when i hit it my truck sank had to lock in 4lo and got out no problem but i shorted my altenator replaced it no problem now i have tons of mud under the hood and need to clean it what is the best way to do that i know not to use pressure washer because of the electronics... i can i use a water hose and a rag i could really use some suggestion thanks all

Garden hose with a nozzle attachment. You are going to want soap/degreaser as well and a small brush with plastic bristles to get the tough chit off.

thanks is there anything in particular that i should avoid getting wet?

the alternator!! i usually put a bag over my alt, oil breather, and air filter cone. then i can go about washing the **** out of it... i have really soaked the chit out of that thing and had no problems... yet...

Keep water out of the Alternator, Power Distro Center(Fuse box), Away from the ECU and try to keep it out of the intake. I use walmart sacks. Other than that you should be in good shape.

Immediatly after you wash the bay start it up and let it heat up to help evaporate any moisture that might be in there.

Run your engine while you do it just make sure you dont spray into anything that could get it into the intake. I wash for a living and it is actually safe, just let the engine run as you do it and your engine will be just fine, I have even run pressure washers in them just fine. I used to pressure wash my old engine on my 98 every 6 months spring and fall and never had one single engine problem on that pickup. 215000 miles and was always strong.

Thats the only way to do it with a 4wd.
