Default New headliner in the works. Need advice

So I'm tacklin a black suede headliner tomorrow boys. My question is how hard is it to die all the tan interior pieces to match? I want a nice black look throughout the entire truck except for the soon to be blue accents on the doors, seats and dash.

I plan on all that tan being the same dark charcoal color and blending into the lower black.
Anyone done this on the site before (I read over the diy already but there may be some other advice)

P.S. for the chrome haters I'm slowly peeling the exterior chrome off piece by piece so those pics will be up soon as the bumpers are done

Black dye will eventually wear away on the visors from touching them all the time and when you flip them down, the sun will fade them even more. i would try to wrap them if possible.
If you do color them, i used to use fabric dye for carpets of the auction vehicles. I would get the carpets slightly damp and spray very light even coats. like 3 or 4 very light coats. The moisture (dampness) would allow the dye to be absorbed into the fabric and hold much longer and not make the carpet like a rock on the top layer when it dried.
Black is easiest to match especially when it's above and no light shines directly on it.

Why not try to match your visors to the blue on your seats? or is that getting overboard?...lol

As far as the plastic pieces...shouldn't be too bad, just lightly scuff them and prime them before you change the color so it has something to stick to.
ohh, stick to flat black or preferrably satin black for the molding. Gloss black would look terrible.

Sorry dirty I forgot to mention the visors are getting wrapped as well. It's actually the easiest part of the whole job lol

Which molding are you talking about with the black? I'm hoping to do it all in the oem dark charcoal color. Just easier to call it black for typing sake lol

The roof headliner can be removed from the truck in one piece with seat all the way back in recline (I Had to do that to install overhead rear seat DVD mod mounting bracket). That beige fabric is sponge molded (dye would take forever to dry?) You should be able to just spray glue the entire surface and then attach your new suede fabric, if it is stretchable the center hump portion of your piece should not crease (start there and work your way out). Cautionary concern with this process is type of spray glue used vs your fabric backing as you don't want it to seep through or the glue to dry too quickly or get absorbed into the beige an ruin the suede. If fabric is thin and stretchy your edges should come out nice too. maybe you need to strip it down to the fibre board and find a dark auto fabric that has padding built in.
Good Luck.

Well I've got all the tan vinyl dyed up here. The fabric company was an absolute gem tho and shipped the wrong color suede. Aren't they swell??
