Default Question About Headlight Chime Ringing?

I know this question has been asked several times, I know because i did a search. But, what i didn't read was a solution to the problem, or at least I didn't see one.

My driver's side headlight was out, and the "Lamp Out" chime was going off constantly, which is a good thing.

What's not a good thing, is the fact that I had both bulbs changed, but,the "Lamp Out" chime is still going off.

How do i remedy this problem.....It's annoying to say the least.

Just to rule it out, have you checked your brake lights?

Providing both lights are constant when turned on with low beam and don't flicker? (melted or damaged plug end?) Surely one or two keyed start-ups / shutdowns with on-off movement of headlight switch should turn that light off, if not try battery disconnect for 5 minutes.

Yep, reboot. If you still have lamp out indication, look for another lamp thats out. License plate lights are hard to spot.

if you have access to a scan tool, a code will be stored in the cluster or Front control module with the bulb it see's as the problem.

It won't, you will need a scan tool, key only gets PCM / TCM codes.
