I still like this idea, but I haven't spent the $$$ to get it done. I would go light, and I was also toying with the idea of a darker strip across the top to make it less blatant.

ive had mine over a year and had no issues with police.... 35% on sheild, 5% on front 2 doors and 20% over factory rear doors an rear glass... ive heard/ seen people do 20% which i think would be too dark if they make 30% id do that.

damn that looks good, but maybe a little too dark. here in CA most cops are younger now but when i got pulled over they asked if i had tint and i said yes. it just go to show if your straight up with a cop they will more than likely let you go. but yea i was thing maybe 35/50/ or 75% i just have to see the darkness' but definetly 2.5 for the strip

Pic Sig pic shows my tint. The sides and back are darkest legal in Florida and the front strip is down to the AS line. Had it done while in Florida because it is way to hot there not to have tinted windows.

You will get the everlovin' Shazzam sued out of you if you are ever in an accident, at fault or not.

Tint the sides & back all you want - that's fine. When you can't see out of any damn window in the truck you're a hazard to everyone else on the road.

At least people will look at the crumpled remnants of your truck and say "But it sure looked hot before this happened!"

In Virginia it is 5 inch strip across the top. I have a 6 inch strip on my truck since new and have never been stopped or when stopped it has never been mentioned. However I have been reject at three different inspection stations for having the strip too low. If I had a choice I would run a 8 inch strip. But.....

Here's my 50% on the windshield, then 20% on my door. I got nailed by a rock on the highway 2 months after I got the tint on it, so I'm just waiting to save up some $$$ before I get it retinted. I think I'm going to go with 35% this time. If you want, I'll snap a picture of how it looks from the outside tomorrow if you're curious.
