I personally love the FM tones, but not the design/rust factor. I had MAC's on my 'stang, sounded very comparable to the FM's, and cheaper. I reckon they'll have the same rusting issues if they're not stainless huh?

Good to hear you got something that better satisfies your tastebuds Teach. I guess I'll be upgrading soon too, bout to hit my 2yr mark

Two years seems like it is about the time to change these fm's out from what I saw on mine as well as what I have read from others who have had the same problem with rust.

Thanks man, it really does sound and look a lot better. And I still have my cutout for when I want loud, so it is the best of both worlds.

You should be good with a stainless one. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the stainless version sell for?

That seems a bit high, but not waaay overboard. My shop wanted $350 for the 'regular' 40series and duals/tips etc. I think the average price for the FM40 is $75ish, so thats not too biga difference for the stainless. I haven't heard anything about the quality, so thanks for being my guinea pig aiden!!

np lol. But I could not understand why so much. I rememeber paying only 40 to weld a muffler in 1 year ago and now in ma its 85. Damm prices go up but I didnt think that much. When These people over here all said about 450 to 500 for dual i was in shock lol. I was thinking no more then 350 but damm. I called about 10 places too lol. I cant see paying that much but I have wanting to do it for so all I cant wait, I need it now lol

You will have to let us know how the stainless fm holds up for you.
