Default Bye Bye Flowmaster!

Well I swapped out my flowmaster super 40 for a magnaflow 12588. The reason for the change is that with the LT's it just became too loud to drive around with the kid in the truck. I have to say that the magnaflow sounds way better than the fm, the sound is more refined than what the fm was giving me. Also, the fm has been on the truck for about 18 months and it was completely rusted out. What a piece of junk to be totally rusted out in less than two years. That was without a doubt the last fm that will ever be on one of my trucks.

As soon as I touched it with the blade of the sawzall the inlet neck basically fell off the body of the muffler. So it wasn't all bad bc it made the exhaust removal go pretty fast.

I know, I broke rule number one by not having a sound clip but I leftthe house this morning without the camera and never had a chance to come back and get I after I swapped out the muffler. I will get a clip one of these days, maybe the same day I get a shipping confirmation from moes on the wideband kit I ordered like two weeks ago. But that is a while other story.....

Rustmaster is right, what a piece of rusted up garbage that thing is. I knew it was rusted but had no idea it was as bad as it is. Totally falling apart in under two years.
