Big problem!!!! Please help!!!!
Ihave a 2006 Dodge RAM 1500, 5.7 Hemi. I noticed that it was running a bit rough now and then while I was on the freeway. I then began to notice that I did not have the power I once had. Then, the check gauges light came one (the one that looks like an engine)
I took it to my guy and his computer said it was an EGR going bad (which would account for the rough running) but it also said something like "cylinder bank 2 deactivation."
Has anyone heard of such a code being stored? My guy had never seen it and when I took it to the dealership in town, they pulled the same code and no one there had ever seen or heard of it before! I was told that it could be something as simple as the MSD celnoid being bad to a complete valve replacement job.
The check gauges light is NOT blinking, but I do a lot of highway driving to get to and from work and I don't want to ruin the motor!
HELP!!!!
