exhaust question
hey, I'm thinking about removing the cats and installing glass packs in place of the two cats. i was wondering what is the stock exhaust pipe size? Also, do i need to buy one or two sets of the spacer things that move the O2 sensors out of the path of the exhaust?
those better be some short glass packs you are going to try to put in place of the cats because the pipe bends right there at the cats. And dont glass packs go at the other end of the exhaust? The pipe for the cats is 2.5" I think but I know after the Y it is 3"
And yes if you lose the cats you will need the non-foulers to try to trick the O2's

the glass packs are only 12 inches long. On my 03 chevy silverado I installed two glass packs in place of both cats and had no problem. If you look under neath the truck it look like cats because they were right in place of where the cats would of been.
Why are you replacing the cats with glasspacks? Are you just trying to get rid of the cats and need something to put in their place?
The non-fouler trick works good, I am currently running them on the passneger side of my exhaust bc the high flow cats threw a code on that side.

On one of my cats the is barely any pipe that comes out of it before it does a sharp bend. IDK if youre going to be able to lput anything there in its place. And again, dont glasspacks go at the other end of the exh?
THX for those pics. Thats exactly what I was talking about. And thats not no thin pipe either. It took a few mins for my sawzall to go through it.
