Thumbs up 2wd 2500 rack and pinion

Well I have been looking for a stronger rack and pinion for my 1500 (trade in value to low so have to keep the truck) and I found that the 2500 2wd has a HD rack and pinion. yes the srt10 rack is strong but they want 200+ for it. I dont know if the 2500 rack will fit the 1500 I need to compar the 2 but this is somehting to look at for all the guys running bigger tiers and haveing problems with the 1500 rack.

UPDATE: I called up auto zone to see if the 2500 rack would fit it will same numbers. They priced it at 180 and 110 core charge. SO 4X4 1500 owners you can get a stronger rack and pinion for our trucks! I havent been able to find anyhting on the net of anyone doing the swap but im still looking

actually that makes sense. 2500s are solid axle on the 4wds right? That would mean gear box and linkage.

Maybe hes talking about 2wd 2500s?

If they both have the same numbers, doesn't that mean they are the same part?
