Default power rack

Just installed the new rack this weekend. Not as hard as I thought it would be, Just need a good torque wrench and patience. Now to my question, what are the main reasons for the rack to fail. My rack had blown both seals and the boots swelled. Just wanted to know so maybe i wont have to do this again.

Not to my knowledge. Only factory ones or ones that are remaned from factory ones. Maybe wrong, but that's what I believe I've heard.

Are a lot of you guys having to replace the rack? I was kinda regretting buying the extended 100k mile warranty (bought the truck used), but if this is a common problem, it could be a good thing.

My 2004 1500 hasn't had a single front end issue. The rack is perfect, no leaks at all with 102,000 on the clock. Probably going to blow out tomorrow since I posted this. LOL
