Default Will an 04 hemi transmission fit an 06 Hemi

Ok, so a friend of mine is parting out a 2004 Ram QC 1500 4x4 Hemi and I have a 2006 Ram QC 1500 4x4. Since he is only going to get a couple hundred bucks out of the scrap yard when he finishes stripping it I was thinking I could yank the transfer case and tranny and store it some where in case mine ever goes out. Just want to make sure that the trans is the same from an 04 to an 06.

Also if anyone needs parts off of it I can ask him. It is black and has a long bed on it. Fuel tank and doors are already gone and the seats are wet from it raining with no doors on it.

I would think that one being a 4 speed and the other being a 5 speed would negate what I was hoping to do right there. That would mean the computer would be different as well causing it not to shift properly. that sucks cause I was thinking about taking out the computer too.

all 3rd gen rams have the same exact tranny. only differences is going to be in the extension housing/tailpiece if you have a 4x4 or 2wd. ****** it up, might get you out of a rainy day in the future
