Default Hemi QC versus Turbo Plymouth Laser

I figured that I would post in here since no one uses the racing section...I know that Im not the only 3g ram owner who runs it out once in a while...

Late last night we were coming back from the stable - I was driving the Ram and Amanda was driving the Laser and we got side by side at a stop light with no one around for what seemed like miles.

Ram:
2006 Quad Cab 2WD, 392s
Diablosport Predator tuned
CAI
Stock 20" Goodyears

Laser:
1992 Turbo AWD
Catback exhaust
High flow cat
Cheap winter tires - I dont even know what brand they are.

We went from a dig. Any guesses as to who won and how?

I say you did since it was from a dig. Torque always wins from a dig

I'll bet the Laser put it to you after the first 500ft or so.

Knowing the Laser/mitsu cars, the truck won because the Laser cooked it's 2nd gear

I think with a bone stock laser, you could take it. Otherwise no.

If the Plymouth runs like my Mazda, you'd have your @$$ handed to you.

Well, I launched pretty hard in the ram and spun a little. Amanda came out easy on the clutch...enough for me to get out to about a bumper lead. I put her at my rear door when she went to second gear but then she started to pull back even with me. she pulled even with me and then dropped back a shade when she went to third - pulling even and then beginning to pull ahead in third gear. by about 90 she had pulled about a length ahead of me and she let off...

i think that had she launched hard and really shifter it hard i wouldnt have had the short lead...

we went from a 70+ roll on the highway but the little cars aerodynamics were way too much for the hemi to overcome.
