A bar that protects the truck (sheetmetal) is a bumper. A bumper inside the roll pan isnt going to help protect sheetmetal.

The pan looks good ORT, I have planned on one for a while.

Whats the install like?

what debate? your truck, you don't need a hitch, so you took it off. not much to be debated here.

i'm not a fan of the roll pan on not lowered trucks, not because I think it looks bad, just doesn't fit well to me. but again, your truck, and you seem happy with it. glad you finally got it on. no when's the cam going in?

Didn't you have pipes out the back?

Hey Teach - we have an eight page thread and Shiloh has not commented once...is he still here?
You guys miss me I take it? lol It was spring break from school and I just bought the new Battlefield Bad Company game, I have played the chit out of it for the last week. Teach back on topic I like the rollpan, it looks really really good. I don't give a damn personally if a truck has a hitch or not but any truck I ever own is going to have one but enough of that bs. Stroker kit hasn't came yet btw.

I didn't think there was much to be debated either, but you can see what it turned into.

The cam is going in soon hopefully. If things work out, maybe next week. If not then it will have to wait until summer vacation. I will know for sure by next Monday.

I did have pipes out the back. Right now they are cut short under the bed. Haven't decided if I am going to put the tips back on or not. I kind of lime the clean look with nothing coming out the back, so I might leave it like this for a while.

You wouldn't do it to protect the sheet metal. You do it so if you get rear ended the bar will help keep the frame straight and stop the vehicle from continuing into your truck. Your big chrome bumper isn't there to keep the body panels from being destroyed, it's there to absorb impact.
