yeah the new HU is leaps and bounds ahead of the ol pioneer. i tinkered with it for about two hours friday, and finally ghetto rigged it where i grounded the preouts to the chasis of the cd player. fixed the thump but still i didnt feel satisfied. so this was on sale and i snatched it up.

the 3.55s at hwy speeds were just not working. the engine just works so much less now to acheive the same goals that the 3.55s made so hard to get to. and 4.7ram5.7rango is correct in his assumption. in and out, in and out of od super annoying

Very nice! I like it Way Much! Im running the exact same sub as you and I love it! Hm... I never knew the pioneers had that problem, all I have ever ran is Pioneer and I have loved every single one... I always run Premier instead of just Pioneer for the higher voltage preouts though. Glad to hear that JVC is working out for you though!
